Wallis Charles Sendling

Wallis Charles Sendling, 80, of Enterprise, formerly of Beverly, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Mountain Living Community in Belington. He was born May 20, 1945 in Harrison County, a son of the late Walter and Pearl Maxwell Sendling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda Brewster Sendling, who died on May 28, 2012.

Wallis is survived by his loving children, Sandra Phillips and her husband Shawn of Lumberport; Tina Owens of Beverly; Wallis “Junie” Sendling and fiance Hope Reese of Beverly; Charles Sendling and his wife Liz of Belington; Chuck Sendling of Georgia; and Wally Hupp of Ohio; grandchildren, Steven Meadows; Kasey Lewis; Kayla Coberly; Cierra Coberly; Nathan, Cody, and Corey Sendling; Kirkland, Izzy, and Allie Sendling; Kenzie and Riley Phillips; Dustin Davis; great-grandchildren, Bristol “The Baby”; Colton; Naveah; Brooklyn; Kyson; Oaklynn; Grayson; Camden; Corbin; Emerson; Kingston; Madilynn; Mia; and Blaynne.

In addition to his parents and wife, Wallis was preceded in death by his grandson, Caleb Sendling; and his siblings, Bobby Sendling; Gary Sendling; Mary Jane White; and Levon Watts; and his daughter-in-law, Amanda Sendling.

For many years, Wallis was a coal truck driver and worked for several area companies. He loved his faithful dogs, Diesel and Rosie. Wallis loved being outdoors, watching hummingbirds, and tinkering around the house. He will be remembered by his family as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family.

Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Tuesday, February 3rd, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm. Pastor Aaron Cayton will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Beverly. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.perinefunerals.com
