Unfortunately, April showers left its mark on Shinnston’s Arts & Craft Fair held this past Saturday. Half of the vendors scheduled to participate did not show due to the weather; others came with some electing to remain outdoors while some sought the shelter of the Fire Department to set up. AJ Hammond, in his first year as Community Development Director, said that next year he doesn’t plan to risk the weather and plans to have it inside at the Fire Department so that vendors will feel more confident about protecting the items they bring to display and sell. Still, even with cool temperatures and a sporadic drizzle, many residents showed up to support this annual event.
