American Legion Post 31 and the American Legion Family (Auxiliary, Sons and Riders) were especially busy on Memorial Day. The activity kicked off on May 26, 2025, when the American Legion Post 31 Family performed the wreath laying at the cemeteries in Lumberport, Shinnston and Enterprise and the Clay District Veterans’ Memorial to honor the memory of those Veterans buried in each cemetery.
This was followed by a picnic style lunch of hot dogs with all the fixings, baked beans, several types of salads, watermelon and dessert.
