Arthur “Steve” Steven Osborne, Jr., 59, of Shinnston, passed away at his residence on August 3, 2026. He was born in Cleveland, OH on September 4, 1966 to Joyce Gail (Workman) Pysell of Fellowsville and the late Reverend Arthur Steven “Ott” Osborne, Sr.
Steve graduated from Fairmont State University on December 14, 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corpss. Steve most recently worked as an outreach specialist at Marion County Family Resource Network. He had many talents. Steve was an excellent cook, loved to play basketball, served as a mentor and friend to many people in AA/NA. His dream was to serve as a Peer Support Specialist at the Veterans Hospital to help and support Veterans in recovery.
He truly had a servant’s heart. He would help anyone in need. Steve loved the Lord and he shared his faith and gratitude with as many people as he could.
He proudly served at Lifepointe Church as a Team Leader. He cooked many meals and played in basketball tournaments at church. He won 1st place in 2024 and 2025.
Steve loved greeting people at church, especially children. He loved praise and worship music. He was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan.
Steve is survived by his wife, Nina (McIntire) Osborne of Shinnston. They married on July 13, 2025 and had recently celebrated their first anniversary. He’s also survived by his mom, Joyce Gail (Workman) Pysell of Fellowsville; two children: Joseph Osborne and Lauren of OH and Emily Osborne of OH; two stepchildren: Mark Burns, Jr. and Madeline of Lumberport and Andrew Burns and Melissa of Philippi; five step grandchildren: Matthew Burns, Micah Burns, Maverick Burns, Aurora Burns and Sylvia Burns; three siblings: Tim Osborne and Tabby of Fellowsville, Jonathon Osborne of Fellowsville and Faith Renae Workman of MI; four step siblings: Jeff Pysell and Ava, Mark Pysell and Jane, Leslie Pysell and Caroline Taylor and Doug; five nieces and nephews: Joyce Osborne and Jesse, Nathan Renshaw, Shane Osborne and Miranda, Elijah Osborne and Breanna and Caleb Osborne as well as several great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his Dad, Steve is preceded in death by his brother, David Osborne and his stepfather, Terry Pysell.
Steve will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, for visitation on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 2:00PM until 8:00PM. On Friday, August 7, 2026 service will be held at Lifepointe Church, 2551 Buckhannon Pike, Mt. Clare, WV, where he will lie in state from 9:00AM until time of service, 11:00AM with Pastor Aaron Morgan officiating. Interment to West Virginia National Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by Harrison County Honor Guard and United States Marine Corp.
