The Spring Bocce League of 2023 at the Shinnston Ferguson Memorial Park has ended. The winning team of Lou Belcastro, Jeff Swiger, and subs used (due to two members quitting early) did it. Joe Skelley was the main substitute.
In second place was the foursome of Rudy Durci, Sean Gaskins, Dave Greaver, and Gary Pastorial. Placing third was the team of Tina Felosa, John Kendall, and Andrea and Joe Skelley.
The annual Italian Heritage Bocce Tournament was held on Saturday, August 19. Repeating as champions was the team of Mary Jo Bastin, John and Vinny DeMarco, plus Christy Hittel.
Second place finishers were the squad of Lou Belcastro, Lou De Rio, Ryand Hamrick, and Willard West.
On Saturday, September 9, we will have the annual two-man tourney beginning at 9 AM. The fee is $40 per team. The one-on-one contest will be played on Saturday, September 30. Fee is $15 per person. Top two receive cash. The 2024 Spring League will begin in mid-April.
