Carolyn Sue Ringer, 79, of Clarksburg, was happily united with her God and reunited with her husband on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. She was born in Kingwood, April 21, 1945, a daughter of the late Floyd Earl Hartsell and the late Elizabeth Hornick Hartsell Walker. On July 13, 1963, she married Pastor Robert R. Ringer, who preceded her in death on May 22, 2022.

Surviving are three children, Tamra Ringer, Gaithersburg, MD, Deborah Dawson Stewart, Greenville, SC, and Robert Ringer, Jr. and his wife Susan, Bruceton Mills; seven grandchildren, Joshua Greaser, Maria Smith, Shelby Ferrell, Nate Ferrell, Violet Stewart, Silas Ringer, and Delilah Ringer; two great grandchildren, Dominic Smith and Dylan Dirende; a sister, Norma Gardener and her husband Philip, Gaithersburg, MD; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Carolyn was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Ralph Mills Walker; and four siblings, Kenneth Hartsell, Barbara Stanton, Bonnie Sands, and John Hartsell.

Carolyn spent the majority of her life as a homemaker where her full-time job was caring for and raising her family. She did spend some time, along with her husband, as a custodian at the Bruceton Bank. Her primary focus was her God, her husband, her children, and most of all, her grandchildren. They were her life.

Carolyn loved spending her early morning time in devotions and was very faithful to God whom she served her whole life. She was a member of the Shinnston Nazarene Church where her husband served as the Pastor for many years.

She had a very contagious laugh and enjoyed crocheting. She won a Blue-Ribbon award at the Buckwheat Festival for her crocheted tablecloth with honeybees on it. In her recent years, she spent time working outside to feel closer to her husband. It was not unusual to see her mowing the grass or running a chainsaw. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 5-8pm, Friday, where funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, February 15, with Pastor Reggie Parks officiating. Interment will be in the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ringer family.
