The MonValley District United Methodist Church will hold its annual Celebration of Mission Event (COME) on April 29, 2017 from 10 am until 3:30 pm at the East Fairmont High School.

This conference-wide activity will culminate this year’s fundraising efforts for United Methodist Missions. The annual event features activities for all ages, including: White Elephant Sale, Bake Sale, Silent Auction, Craft Sale, Entertainment, Food Concession, Flower Sale, Kids Karnival, local Missions Education, and a Live Auction starting at 12:30 pm.

The purpose of COME is to raise money for the United Methodist missions in West Virginia. There are 10 United Methodist Missions in West Virginia, and all the money raised by COME will be split among these missions. Each district is given two missions to concentrate on each year. The emphasized missions for the MonValley District this year are: Community Development Outreach Ministries & Tyrand Cooperative Ministries.

Check with your Parish Coordinator to see if the parish you are in is planning a Walk for Missions or some other event of fundraising for COME. If you would like to volunteer your time on the event day, please contact Ginny Davidson at 304-363-9241.If you would like to send a donation, please contact Janice Watts at 304-363-3092. Please make checks payable to: WV Conference Treasurer.

All are welcomed to the event, no matter their faith.
