Charles “Charlie” Robert Manning

Charles “Charlie” Robert Manning, 71, of Farmington, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on August 9, 1952 in Fairmont to the late Robert Eli Manning and Muriel (Wine) Manning.

Charlie worked as a mechanic for WV State Roads.  He enjoyed reading westerns and hunting.

He is survived by three sisters:  Elaine Moore and husband Thomas of Barrackville, Manoki Howard of Crossroads and Rebecca Markley and husband Darrell of New Carlisle, OH; one nephew, Jason Robert Manning and companion Krista Hayes and her son, Alex Hayes of Farmington; one sister in law, Loretta Manning of Monongah, as well as several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Joyce (Revels) Manning; one brother, Jeff Manning; one brother in law, Scott Howard and one niece, Trixie Minor.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.  Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 1:00pm with Pastor Patrick Vincent officiating.  Interment will follow to Anderson No. 2 Cemetery in Monongah, WV.

Dorsey Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for the Manning family.
