Charles Thomas Davis

Charles Thomas Davis, 71, of Clarksburg, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Akron, OH, May 19, 1952, a son of the late Carmen Leo Davis and the late Betty Lou Matheny Hahe and her husband Ed.

Surviving are his long-time companion, Virginia A. Butler; his children: Thomas Butler and his wife Kara, Charles Butler, Jaremy Butler and his companion Ash Schwiger, Brandon Butler, Sarah Butler and her companion Cole, William Moore and his wife Ginger, Paul Lynch, Jodi Snodgrass and her husband Sean, David “Sanchez” Moore, Sara O’Connell, and Jenny McGary; grandchildren: Zachary and Allen, Carmen, Koda and Haley, Devon and Natalia, Camden, T.C., Jay, Savannah, Haylee, Frankie, Jr., Brooklyn, Sophia, Kaylie, and Caleb; a great grandchild, River; two sisters, Anna Williams and her husband Hoit, and Cheryl Miller and her husband Mike.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two children, Rose and Frankie Butler; three grandchildren, Destiny, Bailey, and Zoey; and three brothers, Carmen Davis, Jr., Billy Davis, and Pat Martin.

Charles was a good father and grandfather.

The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm, Wednesday, September 20. Interment will be in the Hepzibah Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Davis/Butler family.
