WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Alex X. Mooney voted against the latest Continuing Resolution, which once again passed with overwhelming Democrat support and punts the government funding deadlines to March.
Congressman Mooney joins with Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) in voting against funding the government until our border is secure.
Congressman Alex X. Mooney said of his position, “Customs and Border Patrol encountered a stunning 3.2 million illegal aliens in 2023 and just today there have been 5,000 illegal crossings at the Southern Border. This is a crisis. The House has passed the Secure our Border Act. The Senate must take action. I will not vote for a government funding deal that does not secure our border.”
