Washington, D.C. – Congressman Riley M. Moore today presented a $5 million federal funding check to City of Clarksburg officials to support the reconstruction and rehabilitation of five city-owned bridges.
Congressman Riley M. Moore released the following statement:
“Clarksburg’s bridges are critical pieces of infrastructure that connect families, workers, and businesses throughout the community. I’m proud to have secured this $5 million in federal funding through my work on the House Appropriations Committee. Rehabilitating these bridges is essential to improving safety and reliability and ensuring Clarksburg has the infrastructure it needs to continue growing.”
The funding, secured through Congressman Moore’s work on the House Appropriations Committee, will support improvements to the Dublin Bridge, Sixth Street Bridge, Wiant Hollow Bridge, PFC Hotty Herrick Bridge, and Fourth Street Bridge.
The award was made to the West Virginia Division of Highways, which will oversee and complete the project. The bridges are located within Clarksburg and are owned by the City of Clarksburg.
Congressman Moore remains committed to delivering federal resources to West Virginia communities and investing in critical infrastructure across the Second Congressional District.
