Connie Jean Nutter, 66, Clarksburg, formerly of Shinnston, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Clarksburg Healthcare Center. She was born in Clarksburg, April 26, 1958, a daughter of Leroy and Barbara Ellen Oldaker Fortney. She is survived by her husband, Gary Lee Nutter, whom she married January 1, 1999.
Also surviving are two children, Starla Lynn Cochran and her companion, Chuck Payne, Clarksburg, Shawn William Cochran, Clarksburg; a stepdaughter, Amy Yvonne Major, Aberdeen, WA; five grandchildren, Nikki Ford, Daphne Major Mosebar, Keygan Major Mosebar, Joey Major Mosebar, Pacey Major Mosebar; four great grandchildren, Nala Rose Ford, Wilder Ford, Oakley Ford, and Astrid Mosebar; and a sister-in-law, Alice Wise. Connie was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bob Wise.
Connie was previously employed as a manager at GNC. She attended Liberty High School, Class of 1976. She enjoyed needlepoint, reading, and was a lover of birds and dogs. She was a Baptist by faith.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 3-8pm, Tuesday, where funeral services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, October 23rd, with Pastor Tim Sandy officiating.
