David Lee Reed, 65 of Shinnston passed away at his residence at Virginia Way, Shinnston following an extended illness. He was born October 13, 1960 in Clarksburg, the son of the late Arden D. and Dorothy F. McIntyre Reed. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Kay Reed Ayers and Granddaughter, Alexis Mackenzie Ellis.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachael Haile, and husband Matthew, Niece Lori DiCicco (Tyler) Nephew Robert Ayers (Courtney); Great Nephews and Great Niece, Hayden and Arden DiCicco and Logan and Alexis Ayers; Brother-in law, Sam Ayers; Grandchildren Tyler and Tanner Gifford, Austin, Ledsome, and Eathan Goudy, and Great-granddaughter Callie Ledsome.

David was Baptist by faith and was a member of the Shinnston Lion’s Club before his disability.

Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St., Shinnston from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM Sunday and 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday. A funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11:00 AM Monday with Pastor Scott Godfrey officiating.
