Fairmont Regional Medical Center Names New CEO

Fairmont Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Robert Adcock has been named its new Chief Executive Officer.

Bob comes to Fairmont Regional Medical Center from St. Louis where he has served in various healthcare roles since 2003. He most recently served as CEO of two specialty hospitals and as CEO, Administrator, and COO of a multi-campus neighborhood hospital.

Mr. Adcock brings over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the healthcare industry to Fairmont.  His experience as an operational leader includes past Chief Executive Officer, Administrator, Chief Operating Officer, Associate Administrator, Assistant Administrator and multi-department director roles at numerous progressive healthcare organizations.

“I am looking forward to joining the team at Fairmont Regional Medical Center and continuing the great work that has been achieved to provide quality care to the residents of Fairmont and Marion County,” said Adcock.

As CEO, Adcock will work closely with the leadership teams at Fairmont Regional Medical Center and Alecto Healthcare Services in providing strategic and operational leadership for the hospital. Fairmont Regional Medical Center has serviced the communities of Marion County for over 100 years by providing award-winning patient-centric care. Mr. Adcock will work directly with community leaders throughout North Central West Virginia to strengthen the relationships between the hospital and the people it serves.

“The FRMC Advisory Board wishes to welcome Mr. Bob Adcock to the hospital and the Fairmont community,” said Advisory Board Chairman Toni Nesselrotte. “The Board looks forward to working with Mr. Adcock as we move FRMC forward in continuing to provide quality healthcare to the Fairmont, Marion County and surrounding areas.”

Mr. Adcock is a native of Alabama and received his Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and Business Administration with a major in Healthcare Management from the University of Alabama. Mr. Adcock is Board Certified in Healthcare Management and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.  Bob is married and has three daughters.

Mr. Adcock assumed his new duties as CEO of Fairmont Regional Medical Center yesterday, May 31st.
