CLARKSBURG (Nov. 2023) – The Friends of the Clarksburg Parks Foundation is proud to announce a solemn ceremony in honor of our nation’s heroes. A new 5’x12’granite memorial will be dedicated at the Veterans Memorial Park on Friday, November 10th, and the public is invited to join in this meaningful tribute. The free ceremony will take place on the observed Veterans Day at 2:00 p.m., near the Freedom Shelter across from Splash Zone next to the VA Bridge at the heart of the Veterans Memorial Park. The event serves as a gesture of gratitude and respect to America’s dedicated servicemen and women and will include a moment of silence as a heartfelt expression of appreciation. Light refreshments will also be provided to all attendees.

Mark Audia, President of The Friends of the Clarksburg Parks Foundation, said, “This ceremony provides a significant opportunity for the community to acknowledge and pay tribute to the sacrifices and contributions made by those who have valiantly served in uniform, defending our nation’s freedoms. We invite the public to join us in commemorating the spirit of our veterans and honoring our heroes.” For further information, please call 304.844.0484 or email focpfwv@gmail.com.
