Fairmont State’s Jason Jolly has been named the Mountain East Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Jolly, a sophomore from Ashburn, Va., led the 25th-ranked Falcons to a pair of solid wins in the opening week of the season. Against Clarion, Jolly scored 25 points with three assists and two steals as the Falcons won 88-76. He then poured in 21 points with two assists as FSU defeated perennial CIAA power Bowie State, 100-97. Jolly was a perfect 12-of-12 from the free throw line in the two games.
