A small church located in Walkersville, WV has a big heart. This holiday season the members of the Mission Independent Church located on US HWY 19 south in Walkersville, WV gathered items to donate once again to the children and patients at Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, Inc., a non-profit organization. The donations will give hope and comfort to those who are spending the holidays away from home.
Ruth B. Criss, an active member of the church, collected multiple items such as toys, clothing, and basic everyday items to assist in assuring the holiday season would be brighter!
Ruth Criss stated, “Our small church helps those in need throughout the year. I felt for the holidays, those who were going to be at Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, Inc. would enjoy a little something extra. I know so many others are less fortunate in the world, and this was a great way to support a great organization and the children, youth, and adults who reside there during the holidays.”
Shannon Putnam, Director of Marketing for Highland-Clarksburg Hospital stated, “The Hospital celebrates each holiday with something special, but it helps when the community supports us. Donations such as this are greatly appreciated.”
For more information about the services provided by Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, or to make a donation, contact Shannon Putnam, Director of Marketing at 304-969-3100.
