My 2023 Letter to Santa.

Grapevine by RosaLyn Queen

Dear Santa.  I hope all is well with you and Mrs.Claus.  Please get some rest as you prepare for your long journey on Christmas Eve.  As always I have given some thought as to what I would say to you.  And each time I get ready to write I change my mind and start a new approach.

Since it is getting close, I have decided that now is the time to get this yearly errand done.

First Santa I want you to bring good health for the new year to my family and to all those who are so good to me.  Be sure they have food to eat and a warm home. Help them learn how to be happy and how to love each other.  Help them share all their blessings with those less fortunate than they are and give them all the love and good health they can stand.  And if you have an extra Reese Cup. put it in their stocking.  And be sure to eat their cookies and milk and I bet they will even leave you some pita Piata.

Next Santa I want you to leave me all the good health you can for next year.  So I know you cannot take away all those 84 year old aches and pains but maybe leave me a little Ben Gay.  Please surround me with my four children and their spouses, my grandchildren and my great grandchildren, all my cousins and especially my sisters, Joan and Cathy and my brother Bill.  Please let us enjoy each other as a special present.  It would be wonderful if you could gift each of us with the knowledge to forgive and approach each day with a new spirit.

Do not forget to allow all of us to share memories of  Christmas past.   Those wonderful gatherings at Grandmas.

Leave each of us the ability to forgive and forget, to share our good fortunes and to accept our misfortunes

Santa I will be listening as you leave and I will hear you proclaim “Merry Christmas To All And To All A Good Night.”

Merry Christmas to all my readers and a blessed and holy Christmas from the Queen Family.
