The Glenville State University Foundation is proud to announce that over $1 million in scholarships were awarded to students during the 2024-2025 academic year. This incredible milestone was made possible thanks to the generosity of GSU’s committed donors—alumni, friends, and partners—who believe in the power of education and the bright future of our students.

The scholarships have had a meaningful impact across the campus community, helping students afford tuition, books, housing, and other essential educational expenses. For many, these scholarships have removed financial barriers and opened doors to opportunity, allowing them to pursue their academic goals and prepare for successful careers.

“This achievement is a direct reflection of the generous support from our donors,” said David Hutchison, Vice President of Advancement and Government Affairs at Glenville State University. “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has chosen to invest in the lives and futures of our students. These scholarships are more than just financial aid—they’re life-changing opportunities. I encourage every student to take advantage of the scholarship application process and explore what’s available.”

Glenville State University President Dr. Mark A. Manchin also praised the Foundation’s efforts, saying, “At Glenville State, we believe in transforming lives through education—and these scholarships are doing just that. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, students who may have thought college was out of reach are now pursuing degrees, and we are proud to support them every step of the way.”
