The Harrison County athletes in the spotlight this week are Lincoln’s Makiah Ford and Robert C. Byrd’s Ashton Shaffer.
ougar softball player Makiah Ford helped her team to a sectional championship this past week. Ford was two for three at the plate with a pair of home runs. She also drove in three runs and scored two more in the 11 to three win over Lewis County.
Flying Eagle baseball player Ashton Shaffer helped guide his team to a victory over Keyser last week. Shaffer was three of four from the dish. All three were extra base knocks, including a triple and a pair of doubles, He also had three runs batted in in the win.
