In an effort to recognize the fighting spirit and positive attitude of Jack Rollins, the Harrison County Commission declared Friday, February 5, 2016 as “Jack Rollins Superhero Day” throughout Harrison County, WV. February 5th was also Jack’s 5th birthday!
The Commission deemed Superhero Day worthy of a proclamation because the five-year old embodies the qualities and attributes of a true superhero as he battles neuroblastoma cancer with such determination … and always while sporting an infectious smile. While small in stature, this young gentleman provides a giant example to all of how life should be approached.
At the Harrison County Commission meeting on January 4th, several county employees “dressed the part” as superheroes in honor of Jack.

Pictured left to right are: (front row) County Clerk Susan Thomas as a mighty Wolverine, Billy Webb of HC Parks & Recreation as a dinosaur, Commissioner Bernie Fazzini as Superman, Commissioner Ron Watson as Captain America; and the masked men on the back row are County Administrator Willy Parker as Batman with Johnny Davis (IT help desk) as Spiderman.
