The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in cooperation with the West Virginia University Extension Service will co-host a Pasture Walk/Field Day to discuss pasture weed control, grazing management, stockpiled forages and soil health.
The Pasture Walk/Field Day will be held at 6 p.m. June 29 on William Suan Farm in Harrison County. The farm is located one half mile south of Johnstown.
“Field days like this allow local farmers and landowners the opportunity to learn “hands-on” about different conservation practices and how to carry them out on their own land,” said Jeff Griffith, NRCS District Conservationist of Harrison County, WV. “By partnering with the WVU Extension Service and local land owners it not only gives us an opportunity to share resources, but also helps make our communities healthier and stronger.”
