Progressive Women’s Association president, Betty Waddy, has announced that Stephanie Iaquinta will be the keynote speaker for the PWA Women of Distinction Awards ceremony.  Approximately five years ago the PWA Board introduced a new program to their mission, to honor women in Harrison County who make a difference in our community life by their volunteer efforts.  It is estimated that thousands of dollars a year are saved by the service of these women. Not only is there a monetary value placed on these services, but more importantly, services are rendered to many individuals in many different walks of life who otherwise could not afford them.

Volunteerism is no strange word to Stephanie Iaquinta. She serves as the Vice President of the United Way Board. For Harrison and Doddridge Counties.  An active member of the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce she is a 2023 graduate of Leadership West Virginia.  She is a member of the nominating committee for the Boy Scouts of America, Mountaineer Area Council.

As a professional she is the Public Affairs Coordinator for  Antero Resources.  She is the Grants Coordinator for the Antero Foundation.  This is the private giving arm of Antero Resources and AnteroMidstream. She is founder of Hats, Hearts and CampHorses, a Kentucky Derby themed fundraiser.  Through her efforts she has been influential in raising $650.000.00 for non profit organizations across West Virginia.

Waddy states that “Iaquinta’s professional life and volunteer efforts make her the ideal speaker for this event.  Her message to the recipients will be one of great praise.”

She is a graduate of Fairmont State University and resides in Bridgeport with her fiancé and their three year old daughter.  She is a lifelong resident of Harrison County.

The Women of Distinction Luncheon which is sponsored by Davis FuneralHome will be held on Friday, June 28 at noon at the Uptown Event Center.  The luncheon is open to the public but reservations are required.  Call 304 624 6881 for reservation or for information.  Deadline for reservations is June 25.
