Jennifer Dawn Broadwater, 50, born in Clarksburg, October 10, 1974, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, due to an extended illness. She was born with that name and died with that name, a daughter of Cynthia Broadwater, of Lumberport, and the late Russell Steele Broadwater.

Jennifer was a good student in high school and excelled in the show choir. She attended Fairmont State College for two years and was an excellent student, but chose take a different path and experience life to its full extent. She achieved what she wanted most in life; a home, a husband, and two children. She was formerly employed as a teller at WesBanco in Nutter Fort where she enjoyed talking with her many customers and building relationships.

Jennifer was an avid book enthusiast, a true family woman, and always there to lend a hand or ear when needed. She was a light in the world and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her mother, Jennifer is survived by two children: Cynthia McLean and her fiancé Jonathan Puddister and, son, Hayden McLean. Cynthia is working her way to become a veterinarian and will graduate this spring. Her mother was very proud of her education and accomplishments. Hayden works locally and took excellent care of his mother during the course of her illness. Jennifer enjoyed spending time with her family above all else and reveled in all chances to crawl on the floor and play with her grandchildren, Jameson and Callen. Jennifer had two brothers, Russell Broadwater and his spouse Christie, and Timothy Broadwater and his spouse Brian Moats; her niece and nephew, Kaylyn Wiseman and spouse Kyle, Clayton Broadwater and spouse Cara, and great-niece, Lyla. She is also survived by her best friends since she was 13 years old, Sherri and Terri, who were always there for her and she loved like sisters.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation services were provided. The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of the memorial service at 3:00pm. Pastor Jeff Stire will officiate the service.
