John Edward Nay Jr., 89, of ODells Knob, passed away on November 10, 2025. He was born on November 14, 1935, a son to the late John Edward Nay Sr. and Virginia Ruth Martin. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue Nay.
He is survived by his brother, Richard Nay; sisters Judy Long and Linda Kutsher; son John Thomas Nay (Jennifer); daughters LaDonna Ash (Jimmie), Trudy Acord, Leanne Nay (partner Patty Cavin), Kelly Beale, Linda Myers, and Sheri Reel. He’s also survived by fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
John worked for Bell Atlantic Telephone Company before his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Fleming Memorial Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed fishing at Stonewall with his grandchildren, attending classic car shows, and holiday dinners with family.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no services.
