Julie Ann Gregory, 64, of Haywood Road, Shinnston, WV passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026 following a brief illness. She was born on June 11, 1962, in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of the late John H. Rice and Mary Rose Rice.

Julie was a graduate of Lincoln High School and spent her career serving her community through positions at the Bank of Shinnston, United Hospital Center, and several other local businesses. She will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and genuine interest in others. A devoted daughter, Julie lovingly cared for both of her parents throughout their illnesses, providing them with unwavering support, compassion, and dignity. She had a special love for cats and dogs and was a loyal fan of all West Virginia University athletics rarely missing an opportunity to cheer on the Mountaineers. Julie’s kindness, generosity, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Julie is survived by her husband of nearly 44 years, Rick Gregory of Shinnston. She is also survived by her brothers, John Rice (Susan) of Ringoes, New Jersey, and Jim Rice (Jennifer) of Nellysford, Virginia; her stepson, Jay Thomas Gregory of Brooksville, Florida; her mother-in-law, Margaret “Mugs” Gregory; her aunt and uncles, George and Judy Rice, Anita (Bill) Stehney, and Judy Rose; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Julie’s life will be held at 11 am, Saturday July 25, at the United Methodist Church.
