SALEM, West Virginia – With the Wester Water Polo Association Championship in Illinois rapidly approaching this weekend, the conference took the opportunity to honor some of the best the organization has to offer individually this season. As one can expect from the #1 Seed team from the East Region, the Salem Tigers and head coach Rob Bullions squad were featured heavily in the post season awards. Specifically, 6 Tigers were honored, with the WWPA Player of the Year award going Nikola Krstonosic, who has dominated for the Tigers in the pool this season on his way to crushing several school records in key offensive categories.

Outside of Krstonosic’s player of the year honor, 6 Tigers were named to All-WWPA teams including the following:

Nikola Krstonosic – All-WWPA First Team

Marko Zivojinovic – All-WWPA First Team

Ivan Zivojinovic – All-WWPA Second Team

Goncalo Silva – All-WWPA Defensive Team

Antonio Sablic – All-WWPA Freshman Team

Marko Jovanovic – All-WWPA Freshman Team

Salem will be back in the water this weekend at the aforementioned WWPA Championships in Lebanon, Illinois. They will face either Concordia-Irvine or Gannon at Noon on November 18th.
