On Jan 13, the Lincoln Middle School wrestling squad defeated three other teams to take the Harrison County wrestling championship.
This season serves as only the second that the team, coached by Cody Glaspell and Clifford White, has competed.
The team features 20 wrestlers: Ashton Prangler (not pictured) Bryson Minigh, Collin Golden, Collin Shriver, Declan Squires, Issac Elliott, Jace Poe, Jameson Westfall, Jaycee Wilson, Kristian Radabaugh, Nick Glaspell, Pahton Newbrough, Peyton Romeo, Ranger Poe, Roger Duckworth, Ryan Skinner, Silas Raines, Walker Sayers, Waylon Shock and William Welch.
A total of six wrestlers placed first. They are as follows: Jace Poe-Wright in the 70 pound weight class, Ryan Skinner (110), Nick Glaspell (123), Kristian Radabaugh (145), Peyton Romeo (190), Isaac Elliott (285)
Other teams competing were Bridgeport, Washington Irving, and Mountaineer. Lincoln Middle School will participate in the Mid 10 Championship on Jan 27 at Elkins High School.
