LuLu L. Davis, 85, from Wallace, passed away on April 30, 2025, at her home with family at her bedside. She was born on July 29, 1939, in Folsom, WV. She was the daughter to the late Audie Ray Swiger and Juanita L. (Chrislip) Swiger.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gayle A. Davis, whom she married on April 20, 1957. Also preceding her in death is all her siblings Raetta (Maxine Swiger) Bates, Sandra (Swiger) Casten, Michael Ray Swiger, Bradley Swiger, and Beverly Ann Swiger (whom died at birth); father and mother-in-law Harold and Ethel (Lanham) Davis; sisters Eileen (Yeager) Wagner, Irma J. Dotson, and Marvin Davis; grandson Shane K. Davis; nephew Tracy T. Bates; and son-in-law Dan Whiteman.
She is survived by her children, Keith Davis (Donna), Monty R. Davis (Cindy), John K. Davis, and Twila D. (Davis) Eddy (Marvin). LuLu loved her family and supported each one as they grew in life. She was their own personal cheerleader, and mother. She’s also survived by her grandchildren, Danielle Whiteman Carpenter (Frank), Monica and Brandon Davis, Brian Davis, Kevin (Caitlin) Davis, and Crystal (Davis) Murphy; great-grandchildren Hunter, Randon, Millee, Grady, Clay, Hailey, Donovan, and Katelynn; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law John Casten, Charles (Tex) Bates; and sisters-in-law Edna Swiger, Sheryl Swiger, and Judy Swiger.
LuLu was a stay-at-home mother most of her life. She later went to the Clarksburg Beauty Academy as an education experience, and used her talent mostly on family, friends, and neighbors. She was active as a piano player for her members/church, Wallace First Baptist, for years. Later she became a member of the Tenmile Baptist Church in Dola, WV with Pastor Jeff Perine.
She loved staying involved with her children as they grew up in sports, not only cheering them on, but the entire team. She would pile children in her truck and take them to their games if they didn’t have a ride. She was active in community projects, and family events.
She was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sibling. She’ll be missed more than she could imagine.

Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 10:00AM-12:00PM. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Perine Officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
