Marcia Lynn Jones, 76, of Shinnston, passed away on December 12, 2023. She was born in Clarksburg on February 8, 1947, a daughter to the late John W. Currey and Dorothy L. Zirkle Currey.
Marcia is survived by her husband L. Wayne Jones, whom she married on August 5, 1967. She’s also survived by her two sons, Steven (Kristi) Jones of Belmont, and Chris (Katherine) Jones of Bruceton Mills; siblings Linda (Rodney) Osbourn of Shinnston, John (Cindy) Currey of Morgantown, and Melissa Rice of Bridgeport; grandson Kyle Jones; and nieces and nephews Lisa Rawlings, Wes Osbourn, Casey Kukoly, Nick Currey, Alex Rice, and Paige Rice.
She worked at the Bank of Shinnston as a Proof Operator. Marcia was a member of the Eastern Star, and enjoyed camping and ceramics.
Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 4:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00AM, with Pastor Harry Holbert officiating. Interment will follow at Mannington Memorial Park.
