Marybelle Nottingham Lucas, 60 years old, of Sassafras Hills Apt. Shinnston, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at her residence. She was born on June 26, 1964, a daughter to the late Jack and Edith Lindsey Nottingham.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard Lucas, whom she married October 27,; grandchildren Makenzie L. Wilson and Donovan L. Wilson of Shinnston, Nathan Martin, Tylor Lucas, Dustin Stephens, and Jordan Hubbard; stepson Matthew Lucas of Winchester, VA,; brother and sisters-in-law Shirley Johnson of Lorain, OH, Sondra Lucas of Clarksburg, Linda Stalnaker of Morgantown, Diane Shears of Clarksburg, and Louise Smith of PA; special niece and nephew Hillary Stark and husband Josh of Shinnston, Travis and Missy McIntyre of Shinnston, Leslie and Ray Cummings of Clarksburg, and DJ Lucas of Fairmont; special great nephews and niece David Burdette and his companion Brooklyn Davisson of Saltwell, Hunter Burdette and Destiny Burdette both of Shinnston, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws Ott and Marie Lucas, and Virginia Broadstone and Edward Randall; brother Bill Nottingham; daughters Jackie Renee Nottingham, Danielle Lucas Wilson, and Stacey Hubbard; her loving sister Marlene “Molly” McIntyre; brother-in-law Richard “Elmo” McIntyre, and nephew Dusty McIntyre.
Marybelle was a stay at home spouse, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending all of her time with her family and friends. Marybelle was a Baptist by faith. She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved spending time with her neighbors as well. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 3:00PM-6:00PM. A funeral service will be held at 6:00PM with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating.
