Maxine Hazel (Momma Mac) Wallace Allen

Maxine Hazel (Momma Mac) Wallace Allen, 94,of Shinnston, was taken to Heaven peacefully on September 23, 2023. She was baptized in the Lord. She was born on February 2, 1929, a daughter to the late John and Lena Shiffra.

She is survived by six children, Russell Allen Wallace of Clarksburg, Russelle (Rusty) and Eddie DeVito of Fairmont, Rhonda and Gary Oldaker of Enterprise, Rozalind and Gary Oldaker Jr. of Shinnston,  Ryan and Valerie Wallace of Spelter, and Roy and Nancy Allen of Morgantown; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by siblings, Mary Savina, Flora Humphrey, Deannie Caloccia, Mickey (Donna) Shiffra, and Linda Crislip.

Maxine was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Lee Wallace, and second husband Bernard Clifton Allen; son Randall Lee Wallace; grandchild Joshua Lee Oldaker; great-grandchild Harper Olive Allen; and brother John Wayne Shiffra.

She was an avid cook and gardener, and loved horror and western movies. She loved her flowers, and was a collector of anything Marilyn Monroe.  She loved her crosswords and couldn’t find ones hard enough.  She loved to shop, which would be an all day event.

The family wishes to thank the nurses from Hospice for their loving care and special caregivers Sandy Luchuck, Ashley Ashcraft, and Lori Feathers. Thank you all for your care.

Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 4:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
