Vintage dirt bike fans can look forward to another weekend of old school off-road racing and camaraderie at the All Brands Motorcycle Event at McKee’s Sky Ranch in Terra Alta, W.V., July 21-24, 2016.
Interest in vintage motocross racing continues to build in the U.S., reflected by increased participation from riders and growing crowds at races across the country. This will be the fifth year for AHRMA racing at McKee’s Sky Ranch, hosted by vintage bike enthusiast and former motocross racer Tom McKee at his 200-acre property located in the mountains of West Virginia.
McKee has deep roots in the motorcycling community.
Those roots helped McKee when he enlisted two-time AMA Grand National Champion Dick Mann to design the inaugural 2012 event’s 1.2-mile natural terrain grass motocross course. Brian Stanley, a motorcycle enthusiast, now designs the track each year.
Sponsored by the West Virginia Division of Tourism, the West Virginia Motorcycle Safety Program, the Morgantown CVB, and AHRMA, the 2016 event will continue the winning formula of great vintage off-road racing, with AHRMA National Vintage and Post Vintage Motocross competitions, and Cross Country races and the first Vintage Enduro.
The four-day, Thursday through Sunday event includes a swap meet and vintage motorcycle display, with a dual-sport ride, and an Adventure Ride kicking things off on Thursday and a road rally and field meet on Friday. Special guests include former Triumph factory racer Bob Sholly, John Tamburini, and Beno Rode have all been on the show American Pickers. Come visit and hear the story and watch the show at the Sky Ranch. John Panek the Artist from Shinnston, WV will have on display his art work for which the McKee’s use for the design of tee shirts and posters… come and talk to him. We look forward to seeing you at the Sky Ranch where the SKY’s THE LIMIT.
If you like vintage dirt racing, you won’t want to miss this event.
