Melanie Sue Hamrick, 63, of Flaggy Meadow Rd., Mannington, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at her home. She was born October 22, 1962 in Weston, a daughter of Francis Wayne Kellar, who survives in Nutter Fort, and the late Jeannie Ann Hawkins Kellar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Murry Hamrick, who died January 21, 2011.

She is also survived by her son, David Murry Hamrick II and his wife Tabitha of Oakdale; her brothers, Kevin Kellar and his wife Tina; and Scott Kellar, both of Joetown; her mother-in-law, Mabel Hamrick of Wallace; brother-in-law, Jimmy Stevens of Oakdale; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother and husband, Melanie was preceded in death by her sister, Kim Stevens; her father-in-law, Wilson Hamrick; and her sister-in-law, Audrey Kellar.

Melanie enjoyed sewing and traveling to Amish Country in Ohio.

Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 13th, at 10:00am with Pastor Mike Hamrick officiating. Interment will follow at the Ware Cemetery, Hacker Valley, Webster County. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.perinefunerals.com
