Monday, March 27th thru Saturday, April 8th there will be a used book sale at WV Heritage Crafts in the Historic Quiet Dell Grade School.  Hours are Mon-Sat 10am to 5 pm and Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm.  Donations of books (no encyclopedias), textbooks or magazines in good, clean condition are being accepted.  For more information call 304-622-3304 or 304-669-1295.



Enterprise United Methodist Church will host its annual Easter Egg sale March 27th – April 14th, offering ½ lb eggs for $5 each.  Flavors include: peanut butter, coconut, chocolate cream, cherry nut, maple nut, &  fruit’nut.  To order, call Bill Watson at 304-592-0856, Carolyn Ayers at 304-592-0939 or the church at 304-592-0333.



Creative Painting and Cookies Too! will be at the Lighthouse in Shinnston on Tuesday, April 4th from  6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  All supplies provided.  Coffee, tea, and cookies will be provided also.  A $35 pre-registration fee is required.  To register and for more information, please call 304-629-5003.



Lenten Services will be held at first United Methodist Church in Shinnston at noon on Wednesday, April 5th with Pastor Aaron Thomas of Family Life Fellowship presiding.  A love offering will be received to further the work of the Shinnston Area Council of Churches.  Those attending are invited to partake of fellowship and a soup luncheon following the service.  Reverend Cindy Boggs will hold Bible Study prior to the Lenten Service at 11 am in Epworth Center.

The Lumberport Lions Club will be sponsoring their annual Vera Bradley Bingo on Saturday, April 8th  at the LVFD.  Door opens at 12 pm and bingo starts at 1 pm.  Tickets are $25 each.

Proceeds benefits Lumberport Lions Club Ministries. Also available will be a Chinese Auction, 50/50 drawing and concessions.



A 13 week DivorceCare support group is being offered at the First United Methodist Church in Shinnston.  Rev. Craig Blankenship will be the leader of the adult group and Rev. Cindy Boggs will be leading the DivorceCare Kids portion.  The group meets every Tuesday at the church at 7 pm.  Please call 304-592-0214 for more information.



‘Celebrate Recovery’ meets every Thursday at 6:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Shinnston. Everyone is welcome.



The WV Beekeepers Assoc. is having a beginner beekeeping course in Westover on April 1, 8, and 15. The cost is $50 per individual and $70 per couple. You must attend all three classes to complete the course.    This includes your instruction, the Penn State Beginner beekeeping class book and a 1 year membership with the WV state Beekeepers Assoc.
