It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Gabriel Garrison, 55, of Shinnston, who passed away on April 19, 2026. He was born June 21, 1970 in Fairmont to the late Frank Marshall Garrison, Sr. and Deloris Jean (Hall) Garrison.

Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

A dedicated and hard working man, Bob gave over 30 years of service to Amstead, formerly UCAR Carbon. In his free time, he found joy in hunting, fishing and golfing, but nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with family and friends and making them smile. He never met a stranger and was known for his kind heart, always willing to lend a hand any way he could.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Garrison; his two cherished daughters: Brittany (Richard) Faulkiner of Kenbridge, VA and Allison (Ronald, Jr.) Leggett of Monongah; and his three grandchildren: Alaina and Kayden Faulkiner and Levi Leggett, who were truly his world. He is also survived by his brothers: Frank Jr., (Rebecca) Garrison of Rachel, Ronald (Virginia) Garrison of Fairmont, John Garrison of Worthington and Danny Garrison of Worthington; one sister, Windy Garrison of Meadowbrook; his mother-in-law, Neva Irene Dotson of Shinnston; sister-in-law: Becky Stevens of Shinnston; Brenda Arnett (Jim) of Wallace and Timberly Stark of Shinnston as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his father in-law, Timothy Dotson and niece, Ronnie Mae Garrison.

Bob’s legacy of love, generosity and unwavering devotion to family will live on in all who knew him.

Honoring his wishes, Bob will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11:00Am until time of service, 2:00PM with Jesse Phillips officiating.

Dorsey Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for the Garrison family.
