Sandra June Freeman

Sandra June Freeman, 86, of Shinnston, passed away on October 30, 2024, at her residence. She was born September 18, 1938, a daughter of the late Sant and Gladys Debar Maze.

She loved Jesus and the Kingdom of God. As a devoted pastor’s wife, she was well versed and known to cite scripture. Sandra was a warmhearted person who enjoyed taking care of others. She loved working with young children and spent much of her time as a youth minister as well as a pianist.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, George Freeman; two sons: Nathan Keith Freeman (Stacie) of Shinnston, and Samuel Paul Freeman (Cheryl) of Bridgeport; four grandchildren: Seth Freeman (Laci) of Bruceton Mills, Caleb Freeman of Shinnston, Joshua Freeman of Bridgeport, and Courtney Freeman of Hilton Head, SC; two great-grandchildren: Carson and Logan Freeman; her siblings Harold Maze (Kathy) of Worthington, and Shelvy Cunningham of Worthington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry, who died in infancy; brother-in-law Richard Cunningham; and nephews, Richard “Richie” Cunningham and Jeff Cunningham.

Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike Street, Shinnston, on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Allen Dunham will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Enterprise I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Online memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.PerineFunerals.com.
