Our president, Janet Dotson called the meeting to order on Friday, April 21, 2017.
Deloris Minor had our devotions for us. Next month’s devotions will be taken care of by Elaine and Navonda. The prayer requests were for Brenda Nestor, Judy Knoble, William Hayhurst, Tom Greaver, Jo Smith, Ann Davis, Jean and Don Vincent, Linda Robinson, Alice Gwynn, Virginia Minor, all others on our previous lists, our president, country, congress, leaders, family, friends and the whole entire world and the world leaders. James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a rightous man availeth much.”
Announcements – We will be going to the Nutrition Center for lunch on May 17th and May 25th. Sign up so they will know how many to prepare for. Trying something different – everyone who wants to participate can bring a door prize (no more than $5), put them on the table and when your number is called, you choose which one you want except the one you brought…if it does not work, so much for that.
Our kitchen crew for this week was Connie, Margaret, and Nancy D. Stanley asked the Lord’s blessing over our meal and fellowship time together. Chicken and all the other wonderful covered dishes made for a great lunch. Next week’s crew will be Stanley and others to help. He is making sausage gravy and biscuits. So we will be having brunch food this time. Cake bakers are Navonda, Deloris and Richard.
This week we had a run on the coverall bingo- 4 winners: Paul, Karen F., Sylvia and Deloris. Nancy D. won the 50/50 drawing; guess jars- Karen F. and Paul and the 1st door prize winner was won by Janet .

Thought for the week: Psalm 121: 1-3 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.” Are you asking God to help you through this life? Don’t depend on the government to solve your problems.
