We had a busy day. Libby called bingo for us. We toasted in the New Year with sparkling grape juice. We had drawings for gift cards along with toboggan hats, scarves and gloves. We did our chenille art; the winners were Louie, Elaine and Connie and as special treats we had New Years hats, beads and nut cups.
Tom asked the blessing for our meal. Jean, Nannette and Nancy were the kitchen crew. Libby prepared the pork and sauerkraut. All the other covered dishes were delicious as well. Thanks members for providing. Next week we are to have chicken. Elaine, Vivian and Janet will be the cake bakers. We will have volunteers helping in the kitchen.
Margaret Yost was the bingo coverall winner, Navonda was the 50/50 drawing winner and guess jar winner was Tom Greaver. We all received a box of candy for the door prizes.
Some thoughts for the week : “Middle age is when you know all the answers and nobody asks you the questions.” “Our problems should make us better, not bitter.” “Remember, when you kill time it has no resurrection.” (The Vendor – Dec. 7, 2016).
Come join us. Hope to see you next week. Remember no school – no meeting.
