Haley Brooke Pernell

HALEY BROOKE PERNELL

Haley Brooke Pernell is the daughter of Brian and Kristen Kelly and Chris and Brittany Pernell, all of Clarksburg, and the granddaughter of Gary and Jennie Carpenter and Bill and Shirley Pernell, also of Clarksburg, and Jackson and JoAnn Scott of Fairmont.

Haley has been selected as Student of the Month in recognition of her outstanding achievements, leadership, and dedication both inside and outside the classroom. She has demonstrated exceptional academic excellence throughout her high school career, and it appears she will complete her high school career with several noteworthy accomplishments. She has earned perfect honor roll and has earned several top scholar awards while challenging herself with dual credit courses. In addition to her academic success, Haley was honored by her peers through her selection to the Homecoming Court during both her junior and senior years.

Athletically, Haley has been a dedicated and accomplished student-athlete. She has been a four-year member of the track team, advancing to the state level during her junior year. She has also been a four-year member of the cheer team, where she helped lead her team to two state championship titles.

Haley is actively involved in several school organizations, including the National English Honor Society, Key Club, Student Council, and Yearbook. Through these activities, she has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a commitment to service, and a passion for school involvement.

Outside of school, Haley enjoys dancing at InStep Dance and Fitness in Clarksburg.

Following graduation, Haley plans to attend Marshall University, where she will major in Cardiovascular Medical Imaging.

Izabel Kaylynn Shaw

IZABEL KAYLYNN SHAW

Izabel Kaylynn Shaw is the daughter of Josh and Dana Shaw of Bridgeport, the granddaughter of Gary & late Carla Shaw of Shinnston and Rick & Debbie Warner of Alma, WV.

Izabel has earned a spot on the Perfect Honor Roll all four years and has received numerous Top Scholar Awards. She has taken several dual credit and advanced classes throughout her high school career and was inducted into the National Honors Society her sophomore year. Izabel qualified as a PROMISE scholar recipient.

For the last four years, Izabel has been a member of Student Council where she has served on the Executive Committee and Key Club. She also was a member of the Book club, DECA, where in her first year as a Junior she earned 1st place at the state competition in Hospitality & Tourism. Izabel was inducted into the National Science Honor Society and served as a member of the Yearbook staff. During her Freshman and Sophomore years, Izabel was a cast member of Lincoln’s Theater Program. Izabel has earned multiple community service hours while assisting in various events such as Truck or Treat, Haunted Trail, Angel Luv, and Field Day with Friends.

Izabel was a four year member of Lincoln’s Volleyball Team where she assumed the position of setter. Izabel was Co-Captain her Junior & Senior years and earned a Varsity Letter her Junior year.

Izabel has been accepted into the Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech)’s Bachelor of Science Marine Biology program and gifted a Florida Tech Scholarship and Marine Biology Scholarship.
