Susan Caroline Conley, 75, of Lumberport, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at United Hospital Center. She was born July 30, 1949 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late James Everett and Elizabeth Arlene Boord Toothman.

Susan is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Gary Ray Conley, whom she married on June 27, 1971. She is also survived by her son, James Conley of Lumberport; her grandchildren, Zachary, Blake, and Cecelia Conley; her sisters, Patty Cunningham and her husband Danny of Farmington; and Cathy Faber of Lumberport; as well as her sister-in-law, Laura June Sims and her husband Donald of Williamstown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Jessica Marie Conley and her mother and father-in-law, Thurl Ray and Cora Mae Sutton Conley.

Susan was a dispatcher for the West Virginia State Police in Shinnston for over 30 years. She was a member and treasurer of the Teverbaugh United Methodist Church. Susan was an excellent seamstress who enjoyed making dresses and tailoring uniforms for several State Troopers. More than anything, she loved spending time with and supporting her grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation services were provided by Perine Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.perinefunerals.com.

The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Conley family.
