This week’s edition of “Tee It Up” took us to the Clarksburg Country Club. The Club was established in 1912 and has been a staple in our area ever since. It has grown and developed over the years as they have gone by and there is no doubt that time has been good to Clarksburg Country Club and its members.
Playing 6,000 yards from the tips, this venue offers multiple tee options, allowing for a fun and challenging round for golfers at all skill levels.
There is a tale of two sides here in the ‘Burg with precision off the tee being the key to start your round. The front side is tight with punishing rough waiting for errant shots. Ball placement, especially off the tee, is crucial when looking for a low number. The back nine is more open, but water hazards bring a risk versus reward aspect into your strategic approach.
Being a former member of CCC, this is a special place that always gets my fullest attention. Sticking out the most was the improvements of the course, especially the greens. These improvements are a direct result of the staff which is second to none. The leadership and vision here, coupled with a commitment to excellence, are true difference makers.
Membership has its privileges and there are several options that fit the needs of individuals and families alike. A heated pool, various courts, and a top shelf dining room and 19th hole help to propel CCC to another level.
There are several tournaments that offer exciting options. There are groups of players that play at different times. If you are looking for a game, you can always find one. There is a family atmosphere at the Clarksburg Country Club where everyone gets along and seem to really enjoy each other’s company. If you are looking for a place to fit in, make friends and memories, this is the place for you!
