Bridgeport, WV—United Hospital Center School of Radiologic Technology recently held
a Commencement and Reception for the 2024 graduates. Diplomas were presented to
11 students from Program Director, Micah Ford; Clinical Coordinator, Jane Bray; and
Clinical Preceptors, Lisa Knight and Abby Kovalck at 5 p.m., on Saturday, May 11, at
the Bridgeport High School Auditorium.
Michelle Stutler, staff technologist at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in
Clarksburg, served as guest speaker for the Radiologic Technology commencement,
while Abigail Griffth delivered the class address. Special presentations included
Radiography Clinical Excellence Award presented to graduate Kory Jones; Radiography
Academic Excellence Award presented to graduate Emily Bartlett; and the Laurie
D’Anselmi Technologist of the Year award to technologist Michelle Stutler.
Graduates of the School of Radiologic Technology include Quinn Curran, daughter of
Shaun and Christie Curran of West Union; Kathryn DeMary, granddaughter of Kathryn
and John DeMary of Shinnston; Abigail Griffith, daughter of Brian and Linda Griffith of
Clarksburg; Ansley Harris, daughter of Chris and Amy Harris of Lost Creek; Kory Jones,
daughter of Wes Jones of Philippi and Angie Harris of Moatsville; Taylor Martin, mother
of Trey and Amiya Martin, as well as the wife of Dwayne Martin; Dalton Moran, son of
Brian and Jennifer Moran of Shinnston and the late Crystal Moran; Kierstyn Palmer,
daughter of Chad Palmer of Fairmont and Arwen Palmer of Clarksburg; Emily Bartlett,
daughter of David and Kelley Richman of Lost Creek; Morgan Talbert, son of Lynn
Talbert and grandson of Robert H. Thompson of Fairmont; and Brooklynn Teeple,
daughter of Ed Teeple of Grafton and Tina and Hank Keister of Woodstock, Virginia.
Jones will attend UHC Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; Bartlett and Palmer
will attend the WVUH Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program; Griffith, Teeple, Moran,
Curran and Harris have accepted employment as staff radiographers at United Hospital
Center; Talbert has accepted employment as a staff radiographer at St. Joseph’s
Hospital; Martin has accepted employment as a staff radiographer at WVU Medicine
Children’s Hospital in Morgantown and Broaddus Hospital in Phillipi; DeMary has
accepted employment as a staff radiographer at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte,
North Carolina.
