Members of the Shinnston Woman’s Club enjoyed a luncheon meeting at Jimmy’s Diner on Monday, February 20th. Co-President Deborah Starkey called the meeting to order and gave the Devotions and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Hospitality was provided by Judy Asel.
The February program was presented by Deborah Starkey on activities and services available at Lowe Public Library. She reported on funding issues and urged all in attendance to contact their legislators and stress the financial situation all libraries are facing.
Mrs. Starkey gave membership applications and information about the Friend’s Group and added a few members.
Members in attendance were: Lucille Anderson, Judy Asel, Jean Currey, Connie Leuliette, Deloris Minor, Pauline Reed, Barbara Rogers, Mary Ann Spadafore, Viviane Spagnuolo, Judy Wilson and guest Helen Jones.
The next meeting will be held on March 20, 2017 at Jimmy’s Diner at 12 noon.
