Barbara “Bobbie” Jean Carpenter, 76, of Lumberport, passed away at her residence on March 12, 2024. She was born in Clarksburg, on November 7, 1947, a daughter to the late Francis Bowers and EmmaJean Radcliff Bowers. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Jay Carpenter; and sister Marcia Bowers.
Bobbie is survived by her husband of over 58 years, James (Jim) Carpenter, whom she married on October 8, 1965. She is also survived by her daughter Lisa Holcomb-Shanholtz and husband Doug of Oakdale; granddaughters Chelsea Holcomb of Enterprise, Ali (Josh) Boggio of Bridgeport; grandson Beau Holcomb of Lumberport; and great-grandsons John Wylder Holcomb, and Anthony Joseph Boggio.
Bobbie graduated from Victory High School in 1965. She enjoyed cooking, baking, Myrtle Beach vacations, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 2:00PM-5:30PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:30 with Pastor Sherman Goodwin officiating.
