Barbara L. Bunner, 75, of Pitman, PA, passed away on January 7, 2024. She was born on February 21, 1948, in Dearborn, MI, a daughter to the late Frances Edward Wright and Ruth Mae Waters. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Alan Bunner, whom she married on August 7, 1976.
She is survived by her brother, Robert (Barbara) Wright of Peoria, AZ; daughters Cynthia (Scott) Zemerick of Worthington, WV; Christine (Mike) Thomas of Dillsburg, PA; son Michael (Meghan) Bunner of Levittown, PA; and grandchildren Kayleigh Zemerick, Sarah Zemerick, Joseph Bruce Thomas, and Baby Bunner (due April 2024).
Barbara worked at the Ford Vet Hospital, Hazel Park Race Course, and Tanglewood Farms and Bunners Arabians, which was a family-owned horse business for breeding, showing, and training. Barb was a Methodist and she belonged to the Arabian Horse Association and the Michigan Arabian Association. She enjoyed going to horse events, reading, and going to family events and music.
Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 3:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00AM with Pastor Sabrina Haught officiating. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
