Freeda Victoria McHenry

Freeda Victoria McHenry, 80, of Lumberport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at her home. She was born August 19, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland a daughter of the late Russell Clark and Freda Irene Rogers McHenry.

Freeda is survived by her brothers, Russell Allen McHenry of Lumberport; and Buck McHenry and his wife Donna, of Gore; her nieces and nephews, Lori and Scott Rowden; Rusty and Alex McHenry; Celeste Cutlip; Gianna Cutlip; Clark McHenry; Lilly McHenry; Hunter Rowden; Trey Murray; Gracie Murray; and Buzz Murray; as well as several cousins. Freeda was also preceded in death by her long-time companion, Andrew Hamrick.

Freeda enjoyed making crafts and watching Westerns. She was excellent at doing upholstery work and made that her business. Freeda had an amazing collection of Minnie and Mickey Mouse memorabilia. Freeda also loved caring for her dog, Booty.

The family would like to thank Freeda’s caregivers, Fonda Miller and her family; Kelly Oliverio; the Hayhurst family; Randy and Jessica; and her good friend, Corey Hagan.

Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Thursday from 5-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 12, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial Cemetery. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.perinefunerals.com
