For several years. The Bice-Ferguson Memorial Museum has been holding an Art Show in August and a quilt Show in September. This year two new month-long shows will be added – a themed photography show in July and a fiber arts show in October.
July’s photography show’s theme is Historic Places, People or things of North Central West Virginia. The photos should be recent (taken within the last 2 years) and ready to hang. A paragraph of 50 words or less explaining the historical significance of the photo and / or why the photo was taken must accompany the picture. Drop off for the show is Thursday July 2 nd from 9 to 1, or by appointment. The show will run during regular Museum hours from July 3 rd through July 31 st , 2026. A small cash prize will be given for People’s Choice, first, second and third and will be awarded at a photographer’s reception Saturday, August 1 st at 1:00 pm.
