Billy Eugene Swiger, 81, of Wallace, WV, passed away on November 10, 2016, at United Hosptial Center, alongside his loved ones.
He was born on September 16, 1935, in Folsom, to the late Corbert and Ruth Bates Swiger.
Billy is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Swiger, whom he married on December 23, 1953; their children, Gerald Swiger and his wife Judy of Wallace, and Sandy Moore and her husband Eugene of Lumberport; grandchildren, Gerald Eugene Swiger, Jr. and his wife Amanda and Tiffany Cropp and her husband Jeff; stepgrandchildren, Samuel Moore and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Michaela Swiger, Hannah Swiger; Eli Swiger; Dakota Moore, Destiny Moore, Hunter Moore, Alieigh Moore; and dogs, Missy and Sassy.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his stepgrandson, Eugene “Snapper” Moore; granddaughter, Stacey Swiger; and brother, James Doye Swiger.
Billy worked for Clinchfield Mine; Quarto Mine; AEP Martinka Mine; and Eastern Tygart River Mine over the years. He loved taking care of his horse, dogs and cats. Billy was always staying busy. He enjoyed reading.
