T. Dane Williams

T. Dane Williams, 89, of Lost Creek, passed away, Friday, November 11, 2016, at the River Oaks Nursing Home in Clarksburg.
He was born on October 7, 1927, to the late Charles E. and Susie M. Bond Williams. Dane served in the United States Army and later worked in construction and was a member of the Teamsters Union 789.
Dane is survived by four sons, Mike Harper and wife Joyce, Roger Harper and wife Chandra, Richard Williams and companion Sue Garlow, all of Lost Creek, Steven Harper and wife Sandra of Maidsville; grandchildren, Tim Garlow of Fairmont, Marcy Williams and Ed Evans of Sugarlands, Daniel Williams and Katie Gaither of Lost Creek, Loretta and Frank Girdich of Irwin, PA, Mary and John Copass of Lost Creek, Michelle and Christy Foster of Lost Creek, Michael Harper of Phenix City, AL, Marty and Sharon Harper of Jane Lew, Roger and Letetia Harper of Philippi, Steven Harper, II of Naples, FL, Bridgette and Thomas Frenz of Green Cove Springs, FL, Jennifer Raschella of Farmington; one sister, Lenora Williams Russell of Massillon, OH; one brother, John Williams and wife Eulala of Nebraska.
In addition to his parents, Dane was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy A. Ong Williams, and his second wife, Glenna Van Horn Harper Williams; one son, Randall Harper; two grandsons, PFC Andrew Harper and Christopher Garlow; six brothers, Kendall Wilson, Lee, Charles, Roxy, Leonard and James Williams.
Dane was a hardworking and dedicated man, retiring as a construction worker. He was a big fan of John Deere tractors and enjoyed working on his hobby farm and riding horses. Dane enjoyed his life with good family, friends and neighbors. But most of all, he delighted himself in being a father and grandfather, cherishing his sons and grandchildren.
